U23s Exit Premier League Cup After Huddersfield Draw - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U23s bowed out of the Premier League Cup at the group stage following a 1-1 draw away against Huddersfield this afternoon, Andre Dozzell having netted the Blues’ goal.
Dozzell put Town in front on 68 but Jack Boyle equalised for the home side in injury time.
The game was initially set to be played at Curzon Ashton’s Tameside Stadium but moved to the Terriers’ PPG Canalside training ground after a pitch inspection at the original venue yesterday.
Barring West Brom being thrashed by Liverpool in their final game on Tuesday, Town will finish bottom of their four-team group.
U23s: Crowe, Woolfenden, Nydam, Blanchfield, Robinson, C Smith (c), Morris, McDonnell, McLoughlin, Dozzell, McKendry. Subs: Marshall, Wright, Ndaba, Folami, Wilton.
