Williams Returns for U23s Against Bristol City - Ipswich Town News

Jonny Williams will make his return to action for the U23s when they take on Bristol City at Playford Road this afternoon (KO 1pm).

The Wales international has been sidelined with a shoulder injury suffered in the 3-2 win at Wigan in December.

The 23-year-old, who is on loan with the Blues for the fourth time, has another year on his Crystal Palace contract after this season but admitted over the weekend that he may have to find a new club in the summer.

"I want to find a home and I feel that home is Palace. I always have,” he told The Sun on Sunday.

"It was the team I supported when I was younger and to play for that team you have grown up watching since you were eight is your home. But I haven’t really played much there in the last three years. It’s tough.

"I’ve been on loan a few times so it will be a decision between me, my family, my agent and the club.

"Individually, it’s hard to take sometimes when you know you can play at international level and feel comfortable in that environment.

"It comes down to opportunities. I haven’t had as many as I would have liked at Palace for one reason or another.

"If I can get an opportunity at Palace, great. I haven’t spoken to Sam Allardyce so we’ll have to wait and see.”

Andre Dozzell, Ben Morris, Adam McDonnell and Tristan Nydam will also be involved for Gerard Nash’s side this afternoon.

U23s: Crowe, Woolfenden, Nydam, Webber, C Smith, McDonnell, Blanchfield, Dozzell, Williams, McLoughlin, Morris. Subs: Hayes, Ndaba, McGavin, McKendry, Folami.
