Morris Nets But U23s Lose at Forest - Ipswich Town News

Ben Morris netted his 12th goal of the season but the Blues’ U23s were beaten 3-1 by a more experienced Nottingham Forest side at Alfreton Town’s Impact Arena.

Mustapha Carayol put the home side in front in the 28th minute but Morris, who is on loan at Woking but still available for the U23s, levelled for Gerard Nash’s side six minutes later after good work from Ben Folami.

Forest won it in the second half via goals from Joao Teixeira on 61 and Yassine En-Neyah in the 67th minute.

Forest U23s: Evtimov, Charlesworth, Lam, Ahmedhodzic, Iacovitti, Ariyibi, Edser, Tshibola, Carayol (En-Neyah. 63), Teixeira, Vellios (Gomis 80). Unused: J Wright, A Smith, Crookes.

Town U23s: Crowe, Woolfenden (Salaudeen 10), Nydam, Blanchfield (McGavin 84), C Smith, Webber, McKendry, McDonnell, Morris, Dozzell, Folami. Unused: Hayes, Ndaba, Daniels.
