Town Linked With Aberdeen Winger McGinn - Ipswich Town News
Town are reported to be the latest club to show interest in Aberdeen’s Northern Ireland international winger Niall McGinn, who is out of contract in the summer and set to leave Pittodrie.
According to the Daily Record, the Blues are the most recent side to have "registered an interest” in the 29-year-old, who scored his 13th goal of the season in Friday's 7-0 win at Dundee.
League One promotion chasers Sheffield United and Bolton Wanderers are also said to be keen on the former Dungannon Swifts, Derry City and Celtic man, who also spent time on loan at Brentford earlier in his career, while Hearts and Oxford United have reportedly both offered him a pre-contract agreement for next season.
Town boss Mick McCarthy is said to be a big fan of the wideman and hopes to bring him to Portman Road.
McGinn, who has won 50 full caps, scoring three goals, was previously interesting the Blues in 2008 when they lost out to Celtic.
