U16s Face Canaries at Portman Road in Hospital Cup - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U16s will face their Norwich City counterparts at Portman Road in their annual Hospital Cup fixture on Thursday evening (KO 7.30pm).
The Hospital Cup, a pre-season staple at first-team level for many years until 1990, was revived as an U16s match played between the Blues and Canaries two years ago when the Norfolk side ran out 3-0 winners at Portman Road. Last year the Norfolk side won 2-1 at Carrow Road.
All proceeds will go to Town’s academy with tickets on the gate at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.
The game will be played over two halves of 40 minutes followed by extra-time and penalties if required.
