Town’s 3-1 home win against Newcastle United on Monday has been named the League Managers Association’s LG Performance of the Week.
A five-man panel made up of LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, ex-Blues boss Joe Royle, Sir Alex Ferguson, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry decides which club’s display is worthy of the award.
Blues boss Mick McCarthy was presented with a bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy at Playford Road earlier today.
