Defender Jordan Spence reiterated his desire to stay with Town following the 3-0 final-day defeat at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
The 26-year-old joined the Blues on a short-term deal in January, having been on trial earlier in the season, and is out of contract in the summer with Forest and Bristol City also reported to be interested in signing him.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed it here," the former West Ham and MK Dons man told Ipswich Player HD.
"I would like to stay so hopefully everything can get resolved. As long as I'm wanted here I would like to stay here.”
Reflecting on the match, he added: "We controlled the game in the first half but gave away a soft goal in a really defendable situation.
Thank you for the fantastic support @Official_ITFC. On a personal note thoroughly enjoyed my time this second half of the season 🚜

"Then the second goal came so we started to chase the game and begun to look a bit disjointed. If you play as well as we did in the first half, you expect to come away with something so we're disappointed.
"They were far more clinical than us. While we were in the ascendancy we needed to take our chances so fair play to them for doing that. You could feel the nervousness at 0-0 and at 1-0 but unfortunately we couldn't capitalise.
"Because of the pitch invasion, it was disappointing not to be able to go over and thank the fans but it was great support.”

Manager Mick McCarthy says he is keen to sign Spence on a longer term deal and also to sign midfielder Emyr Huws, who has been on loan from Cardiff, on a permanent basis.
"We’re talking to both of them, both their agents,” he said. "You just don’t know, do you? We’ll wait and see but I’m hopeful we will.”
While McCarthy is keen to make early additions to his squad, he admits that it can take time to get deals done.
"It might have to be a patient, waiting game because players will have other options,” he added. "If the ones who we want we can get them done then I’d sooner have them done because it gives us all a lift.”
