Ex-Players On Tour of Suffolk - Ipswich Town News

Former Blues Russell Osman, Titus Bramble, Mick Stockwell and Alan Lee, Town’s U18s coach, are among 100 cyclists taking part in TEAMITFC’s Tour of Suffolk charity cycle ride this weekend.

TEAMITFC will ride 150 miles over two days, leaving Portman Road at 9.15am on Sunday before arriving back at the club on Monday at 4pm.

The trip will take them through the Suffolk countryside and then, after staying overnight at Potters Resort in Hopton, back to Ipswich down the coast via Southwold and Woodbridge.

Simon Milton, Town’s director of academy sales, who is the man behind TEAMITFC, is unable to take part in the ride as a cyclist having ruptured his achilles in the recent legends match in Bury.

In each of the last three years TEAMITFC has taken on a cycle challenge which between them have helped raise more than £250,000 for charity.

Also taking part in the ride is Shaun Whiter, one of the local footballers seriously injured in a hit and run incident in Newmarket last July.

Whiter, who played local football for Newmarket Town and Soham Town Rangers, will be completing the ride on a specially-designed bike, having had both his legs amputated when he and his friend Joey Abbs were struck by a car as they were changing a wheel by the roadside, and will also be raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

This trip will see funds raised for Prostate Cancer UK, the Friends of Ipswich Town and various other nominated charities.

Only 3 days to go to another TEAMITFC charity cycle ride. If you'd be kind enough to donate please visit my page. https://t.co/UDUlO7AXcX– Titus Bramble (@19tmb) May 11, 2017
