McGoldrick's Ireland Face Uruguay - Ipswich Town News
Town striker David McGoldrick could win his seventh international cap this evening when the Republic of Ireland face Uruguay in a friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin (KO 6pm).
McGoldrick, who is still looking for his first international goal, played the full 90 minutes of Thursday’s 3-1 defeat to Mexico alongside former Blues strike partner Daryl Murphy.
However, the squad has been strengthened ahead of tonight’s match by the addition of a number of senior players, including ex-Town captain Jon Walters.
The game is preparation for the World Cup qualifier against Austria next Sunday, also at the Aviva Stadium.
