Central defender Tommy Smith was on target as New Zealand beat League of Ireland side Cabinteely 5-2 in a friendly in Dublin this evening.
Smith nodded his goal in the opening minute as the All Whites continued their preparations for the Confederations Cup later this month.
The 27-year-old started and played the first 59 minutes, while Town youngster Monty Patterson, 20, was an unused sub.
New Zealand head coach Anthony Hudson will confirm his Confederations Cup squad on Thursday before a final friendly against Belarus in Minsk next Monday.
The All Whites will take on the hosts in St Petersburg in the tournament’s opening group game on Saturday 17th June, Mexico in Sochi four days later and then Portugal back in St Petersburg on Saturday June 24th.
