Cardiff Accept Town Bid for Huws - Ipswich Town News

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has revealed that the Bluebirds have accepted an offer from Town for ex-Blues loanee Emyr Huws.

"I spoke to [Ipswich manager] Mick McCarthy and we've accepted an offer and I think it's just down to the two clubs to sort the little details out," Warnock told BBC Wales Sport.

"I think the player is happy, he had a good time there and we wish him well.”

The 23-year-old Wales international joined the Blues on loan on the final day of the January window and enjoyed a highly successful spell at Portman Road, scoring three goals in 13 starts.

Warnock added: ”Right on the deadline day I said, 'I want you to stay, but if Ipswich don't come up with the wages you're going to have to stay’.

"He ended up paying some of the wages himself, which I found incredible and I can't take my hat off to him enough.

"It's paid off for him, because he's going to get himself a club and a contract where he'll be happy playing."
