Rotherham Boss Warne Expects Adeyemi to Join Town or Norwich - Ipswich Town News
Rotherham boss Paul Warne believes former Millers loanee Tom Adeyemi, who is a free agent having been released by Cardiff City, will end up joining either Town or Norwich City, his hometown club where he started his career.
Midfielder Adeyemi, 25, was first mentioned in connection with the Blues and Canaries in May, while Warne says he’d ideally liked to have kept him at the New York Stadium.
"I offered him a brilliant deal,” he told the Sheffield Star. "He wants to stay in the Championship.
"He’s hoping to get it sorted soon. I reckon he will be going to Norwich or Ipswich. I’d still take him if I could. He brings goals to the team.”
Asked whether he has any interest in Adeyemi earlier today, Blues boss Mick McCarthy kept his cards typically close to his chest.
"I’ve been linked with loads of people but if I answer a question on everybody I’ve been linked with [I’ll be here for a while], and I can’t help what people put in papers,” he said.
