Bialkowski Named Junior Blues Captain - Ipswich Town News
Blues keeper Bartosz Bialkowski has been named the Junior Blues captain for the season ahead.
The Polish keeper, the Junior Blues Player of the Year for the last two seasons, is delighted to have been handed the role.
"I’m delighted to be Junior Blues captain for the new season,” he told the club site.
"I’m looking forward to meeting up with the club’s younger fans over the year and joining them at some of the Junior Blues events.”
Bialkowski was also pleased to see fellow keeper Dean Gerken sign a new two-year deal this week: "Deano is a top keeper and it’s good to have that level of competition here. It’s good for both of us, for the other ‘keepers as well and for the club.
"We support each other and drive each other on. We both want to play and we know that if one of us drops a level, the other one will be playing."
