Celina in Ipswich to Complete Loan Move - Ipswich Town News

Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina is in Ipswich ahead of the completion of his season-long loan to the Blues.

The 20-year-old posted pictures on his Instagram account which showed he was travelling to and then had arrived in town.

Kosovo international Celina’s move to Portman Road has been all but done for more than a week and he was expected at the club this weekend to undergo his medical and to tie up the formalities relating to his switch.

Town beat the likes of Bolton, QPR and Leeds to land the highly-rated forward, whose previous season-long loan in Holland with FC Twente officially ended on Friday.

Celina will travel to Ireland with the rest of the squad for the now traditional pre-season training camp at the Carton House Hotel in Co Kildare tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Wolves completed the signing of Scottish left-back Barry Douglas from Turkish club Konyaspor last night which may indicate they have ended their interest in Town’s Jonas Knudsen.

Elsewhere, former Southampton winger Lloyd Isgrove has rejoined his former loan club Barnsley.

The Blues and Charlton are understood to have been among a number of other clubs to have been keen to sign the 24-year-old Wales international.

Ex-Town midfielder Lee Bowyer, 40, has been named the assistant manager of the Addicks, the club where he started his career.
