Dozzell Off Injured as England U19s Thrash Germany to Reach Semi-Finals - Ipswich Town News
Andre Dozzell limped off in the 15th minute as England U19s thrashed Germany 4-1 in Tbilisi to top their group at the European Championships and go through to the semi-finals.
Dozzell, 18, who was making his third start of the tournament, suffered what appeared to be a hip problem and was treated by the physio twice before being replaced.
Despite having already lost another key man to injury, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, England went on to claim an impressive victory with Nottingham Forest’s Ben Brereton and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon both netting twice.
England will play the Czech Republic in their semi-final on Wednesday, which will be live on Eurosport 1 (KO 5.15pm), while the Germans exit the tournament having finished third in the group behind Holland, who face Portugal in the other semi-final.
