Boots2Africa Donation Event at Town Open Day - Ipswich Town News

Boots2Africa will be holding a preloved football boot donation event at Thursday’s open day at Portman Road.

Boots2Africa is a small community interest company established in 2016 with the aim of collecting and delivering one million pairs of preloved donated football boots and astros to children and young adults across Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. They held donation events at Town's home games against Blackburn and Newcastle during 2016/17.

They also recently held a collection at a youth tournament in Martlesham where 106 pairs of boots and astros were donated along with around 300 items of other kit.

Boots2Africa now have more than 50 clubs supporting them across East Anglia and have collected in excess of 2,000 boots in their first season with just over 1,000 already in Equatorial and Southern Africa - Kenya, Tanzania, Congo, Zambia, Malawi and Ghana - keeping children's feet safe from infection and disease with hundreds more to follow in two shipments before Christmas.
