Town Make Bid for Bunn - Ipswich Town News

TWTD understands Town have now made a bid for Huddersfield winger Harry Bunn.

Reports earlier in the week claimed the Blues were ready to make a move for the 24-year-old, who is said to be valued at around £600,000, and we understand a firm offer has now been made.

Bunn has been in Austria with the Terriers squad ahead of their first ever Premier League season but was left out of the squad which drew 3-3 with VfB Stuttgart in a friendly on Tuesday without explanation.

The 5ft 9in tall wideman started his career with Manchester City during which time he spent time on loan at Rochdale, Preston, hometown club Oldham, Crewe, Sheffield United and Huddersfield, who he subsequently joined on a permanent basis in January 2014.

Since that switch Bunn, the son of ex-Oldham frontman Frankie, has made 70 starts and 28 sub appearances, scoring 17 goals.

Primarily a left-sided winger although right-footed, Bunn can also operate centrally in midfield or in a more advanced role behind a main striker.

While a fourth striker remains a priority for Town, wide midfield is another area where there Blues have been looking to strengthen. You can Read Mullet’s TWTD blog on Bunn here.
