New Turnstile Blues Out Saturday - Ipswich Town News

The 15th issue of Town fanzine Turnstile Blues will be on sale before Saturday’s opening game of the season against Birmingham City.

The new issue contains an interview with staff members who've left the club during the last 18 months, who give insights into what it was like, and why they felt they had to leave.

There are also some memories of opening day games gone by, an interview with Tom van Hulsen, author of the Muhren and Thijssen book Game Changers, thoughts about eye-catching developments at Portman Road during the summer and an update from the Supporters Trust.

The theme of the issue is inclusion and football: a female referee tells us what it's like to officiate in a male-dominated world; some fairly shocking revelations about what it's like to be an English player abroad; and thoughts on whether or not 'banter' is making Portman Road a welcoming place.

Turnstile Blues will be available from sellers around Sir Alf's statue and Portman Road from 2pm. If you can't make it to the game, you can order a copy from their website.
