Keeper Wright Joins Brightlingsea on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Young Town keeper Harry Wright has joined Bostik League Premier Division side Brightlingsea Regent on loan.

Wright, 18, the son of former Blues, Arsenal and England glovesman Richard, signed a new one-year deal with Town in the summer.

Regent first-team manager James Webster said: "It's great to be able to bring in the Ipswich youngster in on loan, and I'm happy to be able to help young players develop with us.

"We hope this can tie us with a healthy relationship with the Championship club and offer opportunities for players to progress their careers with Brightlingsea Regent.”

Wright will link up with the Essex side's squad ahead of tomorrow's season opener at Tooting & Mitcham United.

Teenage Regent midfielder Rob Harvey is currently with the Blues for a second trial spell and featured for the U18s as they drew 1-1 at Bromley in a friendly yesterday, Zak Brown scoring the Town goal.

Harvey also played for the U18s, who are coached by Alan Lee, in last Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Stevenage.
