Bru Considering Offers From France and Elsewhere - Ipswich Town News
Out-of-favour midfielder Kevin Bru says he has had several offers from clubs in France and elsewhere with his time at Town set to end this summer.
Mauritius international Bru, 28, is out of manager Mick McCarthy’s plans having been told he could move on if he was able to find another club at the end of last season.
The former Levski Sofia man, who joined Town after a successful trial in the summer of 2014, was subsequently not given a squad number for 2017/18.
Speaking to Mauritius-based 5plus Dimanche, Bru confirmed that he is in the process of looking for another club.
"I want to leave Ipswich Town to go somewhere else,” he said. "I talked with coach McCarthy and agreed that I could leave if I get an offer from another club.”
Bru featured for the Blues during pre-season and says he wants to be up to speed if and when he signs for another club.
"I do not try to regain the confidence of the coach after having talked with him,” he added. "I knew what to expect before resuming training with the club this summer.
"My objective is to train as much as possible to be physically ready if I am forced to change clubs during the transfer window.
"I have had offers from France and abroad. I am waiting to make the right choice. If nothing happens I have one year of my contract left at Ipswich.”
Paris-born Bru, who qualifies for Mauritius via his parents, made 59 starts and 35 sub appearances for the Blues, scoring four goals.
