Hyam and Trialist French Start for U23s - Ipswich Town News
Luke Hyam and trialist Tyler French, who is currently with AFC Sudbury, are included in the starting line-up for this afternoon’s opening U23s game of the season against Crewe Alexandra at Playford Road (KO 1pm).
Hyam is making his return after injury, while defender French previously spent time on trial with the Blues last season when he featured for the U18s and U23s.
The 18-year-old ex-Long Melford, Hadleigh United youngster, who caught the eye of plenty of league clubs in England and Scotland last season, also had a stint on trial at Leicester in the summer.
U23s: Wright, French, Webber, Blanchfield, Fowler, C Smith, Patterson, Hyam, Folami, McLoughlin, McKendry. Subs: Marshall, Egan, Ndaba, McGavin, Wilton.
