Nicholls Looking for Club - Ipswich Town News
Ashley Nicholls, released by Town, is hoping that he can find another professional club. The Ipswich-born player joined Town in the summer of 2000 but failed to make it to the first team.
The ex-Ipswich Wanderers player said: "I understand there are a few irons in the fire.
"Of course it's very disappointing to be released, especially as I'm an Ipswich lad, but hopefully full-time professional football life will go on elsewhere."
Nicholls had a month on loan at Canvey Island earlier this season.
Will Snowdon, also released by Town, has spent time on trial with Grimsby and will return to Blundell Park for another spell during pre-season.
Fellow Academy player Alan Connell, released earlier this season by Town, has had a trial spell with Bournemouth and will also be returning for pre-season training.
