U23s Team at Burnley Gives Clues to Team at Palace - Ipswich Town News

Town have named a very young U23s side for this afternoon’s game at Burnley this afternoon (KO 1pm) with Luke Hyam the only senior player involved, giving clues to the very young side manager Mick McCarthy will name at Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup tomorrow.

A number of the regular U23s are set to be in action with the first team at Palace with manager McCarthy confirming that he won't be fielding any of the side which started on Saturday at Selhurst Park.

Flynn Downes, Tristan Nydam, Ben Morris, Pat Webber, Luke Woolfenden, Chris Smith, George Fowler, Ben Folami, Conor McKendry, Michael Crowe, Adam McDonnell, Monty Patterson and Shane McLoughlin are all likely to be involved against the Eagles.

Meanwhile, the Blues have drawn Long Melford in the first round of the Suffolk FA Premier Cup on Wednesday 11th October (7.45pm). Last season the Blues fielded an U18s side in the competition and seem likely to do the same this year.

U23s: Wright, Ronan, Clements, McGavin, Ndaba, Marshall, Hyam, Blanchfield, Dobra, Cahill, Lankester.
