U23s Defeated at Burnley - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U23s side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Burnley at their Barnfield Training Centre this afternoon.

Luke Hyam, who is continuing his comeback after his knee injury, was the only senior player involved for Gerard Nash's side and played 68 minutes as had been planned in advance.

Other than James Blanchfield, also on the way back from injury, and keeper Harry Wright the rest of the side was made up of first and second-year scholars.

Dan Agyei, who was linked with a loan move to Town in January, and Olatunde Bayode netted a goal in each half for the Premier League side.

U23s: Wright, Rohan, Clements, Hyam (Henry 68), Marshall, McGavin, Dobra, Ndaba, Lankester (Vega 72), Blanchfield, Cahill (Barley 68).
