Adeyemi, Celina and Rowe in U23s at Sheffield Wednesday - Ipswich Town News
Town have confirmed that Tom Adeyemi, Bersant Celina and Danny Rowe will all be in the U23s side facing Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday (KO midday).
Summer signing Adeyemi, who missed pre-season due to illness then picked up a calf injury, will be playing his second U23s game having been given the first 61 minutes of Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Sheffield United, a game in which Celina and Rowe - who have also been hampered by illness in the early stages of the campaign - both played the full 90 minutes.
Also involved against the young Owls, who are coached by former Blues left-back Neil Thompson, will be Ben Folami and Luke Woolfenden, who along with Rowe were on target against the Blades.
Luke Hyam played his third U23s game on Tuesday but is not down to play tomorrow, which suggests the 25-year-old may be considered fit enough to return to the senior squad for next week’s trip to QPR.
Hyam’s last competitive game for the first team was at Derby on the final day of the 2015/16 season.
