Nydam Wins Cap as England U19s Thrash Poland - Ipswich Town News

Blues midfielder Tristan Nydam won his first England U19s cap as the Young Lions thrashed Poland 7-1 at St George’s Park this afternoon.

Nydam, 17, who had previously won one cap at U18 level, was in the starting line-up as the England youngsters went into a seven-goal half-time lead.

Sheffield Wednesday’s George Hirst and Arsenal’s Edward Nketiah both netted hat-tricks, while Elliot Embleton of Sunderland scored once. RadosÅ‚aw Kanach pulled one back for the Poles in the second half.

Town midfielder Flynn Downes, 18, was an unused sub for Paul Simpson’s side, who take on Germany in another friendly at Mansfield’s One Call Stadium on Tuesday evening.
