No Move Request - Stewart - Ipswich Town News
Marcus Stewart has denied rumours claiming he has asked for a transfer. The striker, in whom we understand two Premiership clubs have already expressed a firm interest, had a meeting with George Burley yesterday, but is refusing to reveal details of their discussions.
The former Huddersfield player is aware of the stories currently circulating: "I have heard rumours that I have asked for a transfer, but they are untrue."
Stewart has had a frustrating season and says George Burley knows his feelings: "Of course I am unhappy at being substitute so many times. The manager knows this and how I feel.
"We have a constructive meeting, but what was said in yesterday's meeting will stay there."
