McDonnell and Fowler Extend Aldershot Loans - Ipswich Town News
Blues duo Adam McDonnell and George Fowler have extended their loan spells with Vanarama National League Aldershot Town into a second month.
Midfielder McDonnell, 20, and defender Fowler, 19, impressed during five games in their first month with the Shots, who are second in the National League. They will now stay at the EBB Stadium until October 31st.
Earlier this week, Aldershot manager Gary Waddock said: "They have both been excellent and it’s good for their development.
"Adam has played with the [Ipswich] first team and George is playing for their U23s, so competitive football for them is really, really good and they’ve been very good for us.”
Blues boss Mick McCarthy had previously said: "Both of them have done well. [Academy head of player development] Bryan Klug’s been to watch them two or three times and we’ve had them watched every game. They’ve been good, are doing really well.”
