Brown Admits Move Request - Ipswich Town News

Wayne Brown has admitted that he sees his footballing future elsewhere, as reported by TWTD this morning. The 24-year-old says he was dissatisfied at his treatment last season, but has not made a formal transfer request.

Brown said: "I explained to the manager that I wasn't happy at not being involved in the Premiership last season. When I came back from loan at Wimbledon I played in the cup win at Dagenham and Redbridge. The club were bottom of the league and I felt I might have got a Premiership go again, but then I was off on another loan to Watford.

"The manager explained that he wanted to stick with the side that got the club into Europe. I've not made an official transfer request, but I've told the boss that I'd like regular first team football and if the right offer from the right club came in then I'd like to go."

George Burley is keen to keep the player but will see how the situation develops: "I want Wayne to stay, but we'll have to see how it goes. He wasn't getting in last season, but who knows what might happen in the new season."

Brown says that if no move comes along then he'll concentrate on winning a first team place at Portman Road.
