McDonnell Nets First for Aldershot - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Adam McDonnell netted the first goal of his loan spell with Aldershot as they drew 1-1 at home to Dagenham and Redbridge at the EBB Stadium in the Vanarama National League this evening.
The 20-year-old put the Shots in front with a low drive from the edge of the box in the 22nd minute but after they had been reduced to 10 men when Jake Gallagher was dismissed on 61, the Daggers equalised via Sam Ling with four minutes remaining.
McDonnell’s goal was his first in senior football since he scored on his debut for his hometown side Shelbourne in a 3-1 victory over Waterford in July 2014.
