McDonnell on Target Again - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Blues midfielder Adam McDonnell netted for the second game running as Aldershot drew 3-3 away at Maidenhead in the Vanarama National League.

The 20-year-old, who scored his first senior goal since his Shelbourne debut in July 2014 in Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw with Dagenham and Redbridge, headed the Shots’ second of the game three minutes before half-time to give them a 2-1 lead. The Irishman was subbed on 74.

Blues defender George Fowler, who like McDonnell recently had his loan at Aldershot extended until the end of the month, was an unused sub.

Elsewhere, striker Kieffer Moore was subbed in injury time having been unable to add to his nine goals for the season as Rotherham won 1-0 at Rochdale.

Right-back Josh Emmanuel, who like Moore is on loan with the Millers for the season but with Town able to cut the spell short in January, was an unused sub.

Central defender Chris Smith played the full 90 minutes as his loan club Chelmsford beat Eastbourne Borough 5-2 at the Melbourne Stadium in the National League South
