U23s Face Bristol City - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U23s are in action against Bristol City at Portman Road this evening as they look to continue their positive start to the season (KO 7pm).
Gerard Nash’s side are currently third in the Professional Development League Two South table having won five of their first seven games, while the Robins’ second string are bottom after picking up only one league victory so far, although they beat Stoke City 3-1 in the Premier League Cup last time out.
Few if any first-team players are expected to be involved, although it is possible that Tommy Smith could get another game under his belt as he continues his comeback after his hamstring injury.
