Could Dyer Still Make It? - Ipswich Town News
Kieron Dyer is once again showing his amazing powers of recovery and is just ten days away from being fit, according to his manager Bobby Robson. Dyer picked up a knee injury in last Saturday's Newcastle-Southampton game and had been thought a virtual certainty to miss the world Cup.
The former Town midfielder is set to join up with the England squad in Dubai today in order to prove his fitness to manager Sven-Goran Eriksson who is keen to include him in Japan: "It's important that in the next few days, our medical staff get the chance to assess him in detail and see if he can prove his fitness."
During his spell at Town Dyer took just six weeks to get back to action after breaking his leg and again it seems he is progressing well ahead of schedule.
