Folami Hits 60-Yard Stunner as U23s Win at QPR - Ipswich Town News

Monty Patterson scored the first and Ben Folami a brilliant 60-yard second as Town’s U23s beat leaders QPR 2-1 at Loftus Road this afternoon.

New Zealand international Patterson gave Gerard Nash’s side the lead in the 37th minute, then on 63 Australian frontman Folami beat QPR keeper Seny Dieng with remarkable effort from several yards inside his own half. Aramide Oteh pulled one back for the home side in the closing moments.

The result means the young Blues go second, now two points behind the West Londoners, with previously second-placed Coventry City not in action until Monday.
