Saints Interest in Two - Ipswich Town News
Southampton are reportedly interested in both Matt Holland and Fabian Wilnis. The Dutch defender looks the most likely of the two to make his way to the south coast and is available on a free transfer.
Wilnis is currently back in Holland after his operation and has yet to meet George Burley to discuss his future. He plans to speak to the Town boss when he returns to Portman Road in June.
Wilnis has also been linked with Fulham and Manchester City since asking for a transfer early this year and subsequently being offered a free move by George Burley.
Despite a poor 2001/02 Wilnis has enjoyed the majority of his spell in Suffolk: "It has been a disappointing season for me personally, and the manager. I still like it here, the club, the area but there are other things to consider."
Matt Holland has made his intention to stay at Town clear and it is unlikely he'd leave unless a big offer came in from elsewhere.
