No Dyer Cash For Town - Ipswich Town News
Kieron Dyer signing a new four-year £8 million deal with Newcastle yesterday means Town will have to wait for any windfall from the young England midfielder.
Dyer left Portman Road in the summer of 1999 for a fee of £6 million plus extras, including a percentage of any profit the Magpies made on the Ipswich-born player.
Leeds, Manchester United, Barcelona and a number of Italian clubs have all been linked with Dyer over the last couple of years.
After signing his new deal Dyer said he was happy with the way Newcastle were progressing: "I am absolutely thrilled to sign a new contract with Newcastle. This club is going places, I am very ambitious to win things and the club is too."
