U18s Lose as Loan Quintet Exit FA Cup - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U18s were beaten 3-0 by Crystal Palace at Goals Beckenham this morning, while five on-loan Blues exited the FA Cup.

Tariq Ossai, Joseph Hungbo and Francis Baptiste netted the goals for the Eagles after the Blues' U18s had had an early penalty saved. Town’s U16s lost 7-1 to the same opposition.

Elsewhere, Kieffer Moore, Josh Emmanuel, Adam McDonnell, George Fowler and Chris Smith were all in action as their loan sides were knocked out of the FA Cup at the first round proper stage.

Moore - who had a goal controversially ruled out - and Emmanuel both played the whole game as League One Rotherham were beaten 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra, while McDonnell was involved for the full 90 minutes and Fowler came on as a 69th minute sub as Vanarama National League Aldershot were thrashed 5-0 at Shrewsbury. Smith played the full 90 as National League South Chelmsford were beaten 2-0 at Gateshead.

Meanwhile, Harry Wright made his first appearance in goal for East Thurrock United as they were beaten 3-2 by Weston Super Mare in the National League South.

Fellow glovesman Nick Hayes made his second appearance for Dunstable as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Frome Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division.

"Academy striker Declan Daniels made his debut for Leiston as the Bostik League Premier Division side lost 2-1 at Burgess Hill Town.
