Teddy Bishop made a goalscoring return to action as Town’s U23s drew 2-2 with Millwall at the Den this afternoon, Ben Morris netting a late equaliser for the young Blues.
Bishop, playing his first game since undergoing a groin operation in August, scored an earlier leveller for Gerard Nash’s side in the 33rd minute with a freekick from the edge of the box, Harry Donovan having put the Lions ahead on 20.
Kristian Brymora restored the home side’s lead in the 79th minute before Morris celebrated signing a new contract yesterday by scoring his third U23s goal of the season just before the whistle.
Midfielder Emyr Huws made his third appearance for the U23s as he continues his progress towards full fitness after his achilles injury, manager Mick McCarthy having said last week that he expected the Welshman to be involved in the squad which travels to Hull City next weekend.
