Knudsen, who was called into the squad as injury cover, will hope to impress manager Ã…ge Hareide enough in the months to come to win a place in the party travelling to Russia.

The 25-year-old has won two full Danish caps, both prior to joining the Blues from Esbjerg fB in the summer of 2015.
Elsewhere, academy first-year scholar Kian Ronan started and played the first 79 minutes as Gibraltar’s U19s were hammered 8-0 by Romania in their final European Championships qualification mini-group game in Greece.
The 16-year-old Harlow-based right-back or midfielder was winning his third U19s cap as the Gibraltarian youngsters exited the competition having finished bottom of their group.
