U18s Lose to Watford - Ipswich Town News
Thomas Hughes (pictured) was on target but couldn’t prevent Town's U18s from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Watford at Playford Road this morning.
Ryan Cassidy put the Hornets in front in the first half, Hughes levelled midway through the second but Reece Miller won it for the visitors with 10 minutes left on the clock.
Meanwhile, Alan Lee's side have drawn Bostik League Premier Division Leiston in the quarter-finals of the Omni Freight Suffolk Premier Cup.
The tie, which will be played at Leiston's Victory Road, will be played on either Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th February.
Last season the young Blues exited the competition at the quarter-final stage after being beaten 6-3 at Leiston.
