Sheepy Turns Down League - Ipswich Town News
Town chairman David Sheepshanks has turned down the opportunity to rejoin the Football League board. Sheepshanks says his main concern is currently Town, despite his deep care of the game at national level.
Sheepshanks said: "My priority in football lies with Ipswich Town and after the massive blow of relegation my sole focus in the next 12 months is ensuring a swift return to the Premiership."
Town are due to appoint a new chief executive this summer, but Sheepshanks decision to commit the majority of his time to Town is likely to see this put on hold. Interviews have already taken place for the £100,000-a-year position.
