Sources in the West Midlands claim that Aston Villa have made an enquiry regarding Town skipper Matt Holland. The captain has been linked with a number of clubs this summer and is currently in South Korea with the Irish squad.

Yesterday George Burley said he would try as hard as possible to hold on to Holland, but admitted that every player has his price.

Southampton, Manchester City and Charlton have also been reported to have shown an interest in the former Bournemouth player.
