Charity Quiz Ahead of Derby Match - Ipswich Town News

Suffolk charity Anglia Care Trust are hosting fundraising quizzes at Saints Winter Beer and Wine Festival this coming weekend, including one session which will hold special interest for Town fans.

Beer & Co, organisers of the special festival held at St Peter’s By the Waterfront in between Christmas and the New Year, promise something for everyone.

Greg Cooper from Beer & Co said: "The addition of quizzes during the Friday and Saturday afternoon sessions will bring something new to the Festival and I am especially pleased, as a lifelong ITFC supporter, that the 1pm quiz prior to the game against Derby County this Saturday will include a section especially for Town fans.

"And we can promise that this particular quiz will be finished in good time for fans to get to the game!”

Saints Winter Beer and Wine Festival includes a selection of real ale and craft beers, a fabulous range of world wines with tasting notes and a selection of home-made cakes to match with your tipple, while musical entertainment presented by GrapevineLIVE is provided during the evenings.

Anglia Care Trust’s director Jane Simpson added: "We’re delighted to have been chosen by Beer & Co as their supported charity and look forward to welcoming people to a whole host of fun with ‘quiz and cake’, raffles and the best in entertainment.

"Quizzes will take place at 1pm and 4pm on both days of the Festival and teams are encouraged to register in advance for a discounted fee of £25 per team (maximum six people).

"This will really support our services which give people the stability and support they need to enable them to realise their full potential by: helping people to keep a roof over their heads, helping people to stay safe and helping people to be heard.”

The Festival opens from 12 noon on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th December with £3 entry on the door for general visitors. For more information about the festival and to pre-register a team for the quiz visit the Beer and Co website.
