Moore Set for £750,000 Barnsley Switch - Ipswich Town News
Kieffer Moore reportedly underwent a medical at Barnsley last night and is close to completing a £750,000 move to the Tykes.
According the Daily Mail, the clubs have agreed the fee and the 25-year-old was at Oakwell yesterday with the move close to being finalised.
News that Championship Barnsley had moved for Moore first emerged last night when Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony hinted on Twitter that the Tykes were the club who the 6ft 5in tall striker was set to join.
Posh had previously agreed a fee for Moore before opting against the move with the wage being offered at Barnsley close to £10,000 a week, according to MacAnthony.
Rotherham, for whom Moore scored 13 goals in a highly successful loan spell during the first half of the season, also made a bid, as did Bradford, while a number of other League One clubs, including Charlton, Scunthorpe and Wigan, were also understood to be interested.
Torquay-born Moore cost the Blues £20,000 when he was signed from Forest Green Rovers a year ago. He made 11 sub appearances for Town without scoring.
