Free Agent Cotterill Latest Link - Ipswich Town News
Town are one of a long list of clubs claimed to be interested in free agent former Birmingham winger David Cotterill.
According to Football Insider, Rangers, the Blues, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Reading and QPR are all considering moving for the 30-year-old Wales international, whose contract at St Andrew’s was terminated by mutual consent last month after a three-and-a-half-year spell.
Much-travelled Cotterill started his career with Bristol City then moved on to Wigan, Sheffield United, Swansea, Portsmouth (loan), Barnsley and Doncaster before spending time back on loan at Ashton Gate in the first half of 2017.
Prior to his Birmingham exit he had made four starts and four sub appearances this season with his most recent game back in November.
While Town are out to add to their midfield options during January - and will be looking at the free agent market - they’re targeting central players to cover for those currently out injured rather than wide men.
