Carter-Vickers Makes Town Debut at Bolton - Ipswich Town News

Cameron Carter-Vickers, who joined the club on loan from Spurs yesterday, has been handed his Town debut and Bartosz Bialkowski returns in goal as the Blues take on Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium.

Carter-Vickers, 20, who coincidentally scored his only senior goal on his Sheffield United debut at Bolton earlier in the season, starts alongside skipper Luke Chambers at the centre of the defence with Jonas Knudsen moving to left-back and Myles Kenlock dropping to the bench.

Also among the subs is Stephen Gleeson, who joined the Blues from Birmingham yesterday on a contract to the end of the season.

Bialkowski returns having missed last week’s match with a calf problem, while Dean Gerken drops out of the 18 having been hampered by a hip injury in recent weeks. Michael Crowe is again the sub keeper.

Bolton: Alnwick, Little, Dervite, Wheater, Robinson, Henry, Osede, Buckley, Vela, Ameobi, Madine. Subs: Howard, Taylor, Le Fondre, Noone, Wilbraham, Morais, Darby.

Town: Bialkowski, Iorfa, Carter-Vickers, Chambers (c), Knudsen, Skuse, Connolly, McGoldrick, Waghorn, Celina, Garner. Subs: M Crowe, Hyam, Sears, Gleeson, Drinan, Kenlock, C Smith. Referee: Peter Bankes (Liverpool).
