PDP Holiday Courses in February Half-Term - Ipswich Town News

Town's Player Development Programme (PDP) is holding courses for children during the February half-term holiday at Portman Road.

Mini-Kickers is for boys and girls aged five to six years and just discovering the wonders of football. The coach will take them through some of the most well-known skills, along with the techniques to improve their overall game.

Fun challenges and small-sided games complete the day with a participation memento for all. The course runs on Tuesday 13th February from 10am to 12 noon, priced at £10 per player.

For boys and girls aged between seven to 14 years who want to become the next Bartosz Bialkowski, David De Gea or Thibaut Courtois, there is a goalkeeping course where they can learn the techniques of the top keepers in fast-paced, dynamic sessions. The course runs on Tuesday 13th February, 10am to 3pm, priced at £25 per player.

The One-Day Challenge - Wednesday 14th February, 10am to 3pm, £25 per player - is for boys and girls aged seven to 11 years, a fun day of challenges finishing with small-sided games to apply the techniques learnt.

The challenges will use a speed gun, there’ll be the chance to learn and practice freekick technique and enhance passing, dribbling and shooting skills.

The Champions League Challenge Day, for boys and girls aged seven to 11 years - Thursday 15th February, 10am to 3pm, £25 per player - is a day tournament to decide who will be the 2018 Champions League winners.

Youngsters can come along and be Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jnr, Lionel Messi or Sergio Aguero and lead Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona or Manchester City to victory.
