Bersant Celina replaces Freddie Sears in an otherwise unchanged Town side facing Burton Albion at Portman Road.
Celina will be on the left side of the trio behind lone out-and-out striker Joe Garner with Grant Ward on the right and Martyn Waghorn in the centre.
For Burton, former Blues loanee Stephen Bywater is in goal, while ex-Town striker Darren Bent is up front.
