Legends of Darts Postponed - Ipswich Town News

Tonight’s fifth annual Town Legends of Darts event has been postponed due to the weather. It has been rearranged for Wednesday 18th April.

Arrows legends Keith Deller and Colin Lloyd were due to be the star guests, while former Blues skipper Matt Holland was set to co-host along with the voice of darts Russ Bray. Cole Skuse and Teddy Bishop were among the current players who were going to play.

In an email to ticket holders, Town said: "The Ipswich area is expecting further snowfall during this afternoon and into the evening, with sub-zero temperatures forecast.

"The Met Office has issued weather warnings for the region and the police are advising that any non-essential journeys should be avoided.

@Official_ITFC Legends of Darts - POSTPONED

Due to inclement weather + its impact on travel, this evening's #ITFC #LegendsOfDarts event has been postponed.

Attendees have been emailed and the event will now take place on Wed 18 April. Thanks for your understanding. #ITFCAcademy– ITFC - The Venue (@ITFC_thevenue) February 27, 2018

"For all of these reasons and given that we have guests travelling from all over Suffolk and beyond, we have come to this decision.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but safety is - as always - our primary consideration. We have consulted with event sponsors and guests, as well as our hosts Greshams and everyone is in agreement that this is the only viable option for this evening.

Bad news but better safe than sorry...let’s hope for better weather in April!! https://t.co/UbnmkO92xc

"In the meantime, thank you for your understanding and cooperation as well as for your continued support of this event and the ITFC Academy Association.”
