Legends of Darts Rescheduled Again - Ipswich Town News

The fifth annual Town Legends of Darts event has been rescheduled for a second time and will now take place on Tuesday 24th April.

The evening was originally set for Tuesday 27th February but was postponed because of the snowy weather. It was initially rearranged for Wednesday 18th April but has been forced into a further switch due to the availability of Keith Deller, who along with Colin Lloyd will be the star guest.

In an email to ticket holders, Town outlined the situation: "Sky Sports’ televised darts schedule was also affected by the adverse weather.

"The Premier League Darts at Exeter on Sky Sports was therefore cancelled and is being replaced with a double-header programme in Rotterdam and consequently Keith Deller, who works on all such programmes, will be required to commentate on 18th April in Holland.

"As Keith is a vital part of the Legends of Darts event, we have taken the decision to reschedule and the new date is Tuesday 24th April. We apologise once again for the inconvenience caused.”

In addition 1983 World Champion and one-time Blues ballboy Deller and former world number one Lloyd, ex-Town skipper Matt Holland is set to co-host along with the voice of darts Russ Bray. Cole Skuse and Teddy Bishop will be among the current players taking part.

Tickets to the event, which takes place at Greshams Sport and Social Club in Tuddenham Road (7pm), cost £20 each, including on-site parking, event seating on a first come, first served basis and a one-course meal. Those booking this package will get the opportunity to secure autographs from Deller and Lloyd, while a random selection of ticket holders will play in one of the darts competitions via a raffle.

VIP tickets for the evening are priced at £50 each and include complimentary drinks and photo opportunity in the VIP lounge with the darts legends and Town players and ex-players, an exclusive question and answer session and complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks with the one-course meal, plus seating for the event in a prime location.
